Privacy Policy
MintCPAs operates a marketplace connecting individuals and businesses with licensed CPAs. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways: what you provide directly, and what we collect automatically.
Information you provide
- Contact details submitted through our inquiry forms (name, email, phone number)
- Messages and inquiry content you send to CPAs
- Account information if you create a CPA profile (email, name, license details)
- Search queries you enter on the platform
Information collected automatically
- Pages visited and features used on our site
- Browser type, device type, and general location (city/state level)
- Referring website and search terms that brought you to MintCPAs
How We Use Your Information
- To forward your inquiry to the CPA you contacted and facilitate a connection
- To improve search results, recommendations, and the overall experience
- To send transactional messages (inquiry confirmations, responses from CPAs)
- To understand how people use MintCPAs so we can build a better product
- To maintain the security and integrity of the platform
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these cases:
- With CPAs you contact. When you submit an inquiry, your name, email, phone, and message are shared with that CPA so they can respond.
- With service providers. We use Supabase (database), Google Analytics, and Mixpanel to operate and improve the platform. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
- When required by law. We may disclose information if required by a valid legal process.
CPA Profiles
CPA profile information — including name, city, license number, and specialties — is sourced from public state board records. This information is inherently public. If you are a licensed CPA and wish to claim, update, or remove your profile, please claim your profile or contact us directly.
Data Retention
We retain inquiry data for as long as necessary to facilitate the connection and for reasonable business record-keeping. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us.
Your Choices
- You can opt out of analytics tracking by enabling your browser's Do Not Track setting or using a browser extension
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us
- CPA account holders can update or delete their profile information from the dashboard
